Current location

At the time of the incident
the RVC was planning a new equine hospital. Funds donated by the public for the care of him and the other horses’ involved were donated to the RVC’s equine hospital appeal as the Royal Army Veterinary Corps did not need the funds to care for the horses. The hospital was therefore called the Sefton Hospital. After 25 years a new hospital was built and the bronze of Sefton stands on the site of the old hospital.
