Page 59 records the memorial, the dedication of which it states took place just before Christmas 1920: "'Dedication of the organ as a War Memorial took place on Tuesday afternoon. The new organ which has been placed in the parish of Bush End as a memorial to those men who fell in the war, was dedicated by the Rev. Canon F.W. Galpin of Whitham (a former vicar of Hatfield Broad Oak). Upon the case of the organ, facing the congregation, is a brass plate bearing the inscription: In Loving Memory of those who died in the Great War 1914-1919: A. Rogers, W. Perry, C. Rogers, A. Gunn, W. Gulliver, F. Gunn, L. Clapton, A. Dean, L. Clapton. The service was conducted by the Vicar, Rev. D.M. Heath. Following the service Canon Galpin gave a short recital on the new organ'". (The press report of the dedication service quoted by the book is believed to be from the Herts and Essex Observer Saturday 25/12/1920).
