- Description
- Bronze sculpture of an angel placing a wreath on the head of a wounded soldier and around the base are sculptures of sandbags and a gas mask. This is set on a square plinth attached to which are plaques with the names. The whole is placed on two stone steps. Four bronze plaques were added with names from WW2 - 64 (65?) men and one nursing sister of the Q.A.I.N.M.S. A list of names missing from the memorial was compiled in 2018 (79 WW1 and 21 WW2)
