Description
Stained glass window depicting the glorified Saviour standing outside the portal of one of the gates of the New Jerusalem. This window was lost when the church closed. Dedicatory plaque beneath the window, made of ceramic tiles in a wooden frame.
Inscription
At the foot of the window: Be thou faithful unto death and I will give thee the crown of life. Plaque below window: THEY WHOSE NAMES ARE RECORDED BELOW WERE AMONGST THOSE WHO, AT THE CALL OF KING AND COUNTRY, LEFT ALL THAT WAS DEAR TO THEM, ENDURING HARDNESS, FACED DANGER AND FINALLY PASSED OUT OF THE SIGHT OF MEN BY THE PATH OF DUTY AND SELF-SACRIFICE, GIVING UP THEIR OWN LIVES THAT OTHERS MIGHT LIVE IN FREEDOM/ (NAMES) (Exact line spacing unknown)
