Description
Gateway to the cemetery in the form of an triangular headed archway with stone cross at top. Decorative wrought iron gates go across the entrance. Either side of the gateway are wrought iron gates for pedestrian access supported by gate posts. Dedicatory inscription and WW1 names on bronze plaques placed on the inner part of the gateway and on the rear of the right hand gatepost. Gaelic inscriptions on tablets set into the cemetery side of the gateway. WW2 inscription on a bronze plaque beneath them. A dove of peace with olive branch in its mouth is depicted on the WW1 name plaques. Two Scottish shields placed at the foot of the cemetery side of the archway posts. A lyre is depicted at the top of the cemetery side of the archway. The main gates are decorated with wreaths of laurel and thistles. In the centre is a hand holding a flaming torch.

History
In 2018 Highland Council undertook restoration of the lettering, scroll work and the stones surrounding the gates, also the gates were restored by Black Isle Bronze in Nairn, James Evans & Sons in Dingwall and Hoods of Dingwall. This is part of approx. £300,000 of work undertaken in the period 2013 to 2018 on the 180 war memorials maintained by Highland Council
