- Description
- Six standing stones arranged in two semi-circular rings of three. One group contains stone which bears the names inscription, the other group contains stone with the pledge. The groups are arranged on either side of a central pathway within a paved figure of eight shaped area. Stones are set within decorative semi-circular plant beds. Note that as Glenrothes New Town was only formed in the 1950's there are no casualties for WW1 and WW2, and checks have shown no other post 1945 casualties before 2007, but there is room on the stones to record any in the future. This site will now be the focus of future Remembrance Day commemorations.
