Life size bronze statue of a member of the Women's Timber Corps, a lumberjill- on a low cairn type stone plinth with a dedicatory tablet on a stone nearby.

Women's Timber Corps / 1942-1946 / This statue is dedicated to the / members of the Womens Timber / Corps or "LUMBERJILLS" as they / were affectionately known, who / worked in woodlands throughout / the country during World War II. / It recognises their dedication, /hard work and effort which / was immeasurable. / "THANK YOU" Salute / By Malcolm Robertson / Commissioned by / Forestry Commission Scotland / with support from / Scottish Forestry Trust / Royal Scottish Forestry Society / 10th October 2007 Also loudspeaker playing selected recordings on the subject Forestry Commission Scotland / Coimisean na Coilltearachd Alba One million wives wanted / for war work / Timber in short supply during World War II. / Around 6,000 women joined the Womens Timber / Corps to help the war effort.
