- Addition to gravestone. Inscription is white lettering split between three dark polished stones. Each stone is a low but wide and deep rectangle, with chamfered top edges. The base layer is the largest, the middle layer is smaller and the top layer is the smallest, so showing a pyramidal complete shape.

- OUR DEAR/ SON AND BROTHER/ WILLIAM HOLMES,/ WHO PASSED INTO REST/ OCT. 16th 1929, AGED 21 YEARS./ ALSO WILLIAM HOLMES./ FATHER OF ABOVE/ WHO DIED FROM WOUNDS WHILST IN FRANCE/ DEC. 7th 1917, AGED 37 YEARS./ "CALLED TO HIGHER SERVICE."/ ALSO HIS GRANDSON/ ALASTAIR HOLMES GRANT/ DIED JUNE 23rd 1987. AGED 35 YEARS.
