- Condition
- History
- The memorial had been lost for many years by the time a search was initiated in the 1980s. It was never located and a wooden replica was created and unveiled in 2002. In 2021 the memorial was moved to the Old Admiralty Building and the upper segment re-fitted to the names panel. This had been temporarily removed, so that the War Memorial could fit into the low ceiling in of 3 Whitehall Place.
- Costs
Comments: Original memorial was funded by staff subscription. Further appeals were needed after McGregor's Bank, which held the memorial fund, collapsed. Planned all-bronze memorial was replaced by a bronze plaque with wooden frame.
Memorial: £158 (1923)- Trust fund/Scholarship
