- THIS CLUB WAS CREATED IN 1949 BY EX-SERVICEMENT AS A MEMORIAL IN MEMORY OF THEIR FALLEN COMRADES IT STARTED AS A SHED BUT WENT ON TO INCORPORATE THE LOCAL BRANCH OF THE ROYAL BRITISH LEGION AND IS NOW A PERMANENT BUILDING
