Description
STYLISED PEWTER SHIELD MOUNTED ONTO A WOODEN BACKBOARD. INCISED INSCRIPTION. SHIELD IS MOUNTED WITHIN A GLAZED CASE. WREATH HANGING FROM A RIBBON IS DEPICTED ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE BASE OF THE SHIELD THAT HAS BEEN CUT OUT. MEDALLION IS DEPICTED AT THE TOP CENTRE OF THE SHIELD. IT DEPICTS THE FIGURES OF MOURNING ON THE LEFT AND VICTORY ON THE RIGHT. TROPHIES OF WAR LIE AT THEIR FEET.
