Description
In the style of a 15th century cross made of Lazonby sandstone with an octagonal die, and a tapering shaft surmounted by a capital in the manner of the period, with 3 tiers of steps. The foliage is the hawthorn-the flower of the springtime of life. The stone for the superstructure was from Corsehill Quarry, Dumfriess-shire {this was the official contemporary description}
