- 1999: Permission to erect the Second World War memorial was granted and faculty permitting the memorial's erection was passed. 1998: Money was raised to add the WW2 names and the memorial was ordered but permission to erect was initially refused due to the strict regulations governing alterations to the fabric of listed buildings.
