- BLESSED ARE THE PURE IN HEART FOR THEY SHALL SEE GOD./ ORMELIE CAMPBELL HANNY/ GAVE HIS LIFE FOR HIS COUNTRY/ AND HIS QUEEN AND WAS KILLED/ IN ACTION AT PAARDEBERG/ SOUTH AFRICA 18TH FEBRUARY/ 1900 AGE 51 WHEN LEADING HIS/ BRIGADE OF MOUNTED INFANTRY. / HE SERVED FOR 32 YEARS IN THE ARGYLL/ AND SOUTHERLAND HIGHLANDERS AND/ COMMANDED THE 1ST BATTALION FROM 1893-9./ ALMIGHTY FATHER, WE BESEECH THEE/ GRANT HIS SOUL REFRESHMENT LIGHT AND/ PEACE AND TO US REPENTANCE AND/ GRACE TO FOLLOW HIS GOOD EXAMPLE. THAT/ WITH HIM WE MAY HEREAFTER JOYFULLY/ SERVE THEE IN THY HEAVENLY KINGDOM/ THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD.
