- PLAQUE ONE: TO THE GLORY OF GOD IN MEMORY OF CAPT. H. R VERNON N.F. WHO DIED WHILST GALLANTLY LEADING HIS MEN AT THE SOMME BATTLE 1 JULY 1916. THIS BRASS AND WINDOW WERE ERECTED BY HIS MOTHER AND BROS. HENRY AND CLIFFORD VERNON ON 1ST APRIL 1917. QUO FATA VOCANT PLAQUE TWO: TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN MEMROY OF THE FOLLOWING/ (NAMES)/ THEY LOVED THE NAME OF DUTY MORE THAN THEY FEARED DEATH.
