LARGE BRONZE PLAQUE WITH NAMES INSCRIBED IN THE CENTRE. This was a copy of the memorial- copies supplied to many if not all branches- but one still exists at Barclays Bank, Water Street, Liverpool- our reference 26383 and a duplicate entry 2268.

THEY WHOM THIS TABLET COMEMORATES, WHO ARE NUMBERED AMONG THOSE WHO, AT THE CALL OF KING AND COUNTRY, LEFT ALL THAT WAS DEAR TO THEM, ENDURED HARDSHIP, FACED DANGER, AND FINALLY PASSED OUT OF THE SIGHT OF MEN, BY THEIR PATH OF DUTY AND SELF-SACRIFICE, GIVING UP THEIR OWN LIFE THAT OTHERS MIGHT LIVE IN FREEDOM.
