  • Note 1. The building, the only one remaining, was the communal Dining Hall of Hutton Poplars Residential Home. A large estate, built 1906, for deprived children from Poplar, East London, to be brought up by house parents in Brentwood, Essex. Since 1982, when the need for the estate ceased to exist the Hall has been managed by Brentwood Leisure Trust.
