- Description
- A clock with four faces set in the church tower, with an associated white marble tablet set on the North wall of the church. In the top left-hand corner a gold-painted carved Latin cross sits beside the carved Dedication. Across the remainder of the upper section of the tablet is a furled flag bearing the laurel wreath of victory, which is held out by a winged angel whose figure extends down the right-hand side of the tablet. The carving is in half-relief, and the incised lettering is painted black. The plaque below is cast bronze, with the lettering in relief.

- August 2020: The clock mechanism was repaired and the light fittings were replaced so that it is now illuminated at night again. Work carried out by Alex Fishburn.

- Wigan Observer, 17/12/1918: Report of a Church meeting to discuss a possible memorial; formation of a committee to consider the proposals put forward: provision of a clock in the tower; two windows in the nave; an east window; stone cross in the grounds - all of which would include a marble tablet in the church bearing the names of the fallen.

- Wigan Observer, 09/08/1919: Report of the Liverpool Diocesan Consistory Court - to permit a marble tablet to soldiers and sailors.
