- Description
- Celtic style cross , upper right quadrant of circular part missing , the edges chamfered and painted black , the remainder of the cross in grey/white , Identification on the circle and cross member , the lettering in four distinct styles , suggesting that the details may have been added in stages or by different individuals . Towards the bottom a small modern cross and two artificial poppies , at the bottom the commemorative wood tablet . The cross supported on a metal rod which may be a security device as one cross from this location was reported stolen in 2015 .

BURIED IN ST NICHOLAS CEMETERY ARRAS MAY 1ST/ ON THE CROSS/COL F A SYMONS CMG DSO -AMS /KILLED/(IN ACTION ? part of cross missing /APRIL 30TH/1917/
