'FOUR SNARLING POLAR BEARS GINGERLY BACK UP DIAMETRICAL BUTTRESSES TO PROTECT AN ARCHED TEMPIETTO WITH ITS ARCHES CURVING OUTWARDS TO UPHOLD A TRUNCATED SPIRE.THIS IS WREATHED WITH ROPES, ANCHORS AND MILITARY CROSSES. ABOVE, THE CAPTAIN REPOSES ON HIS SWORD; BENEATH HIM, NICHES ENSHRINE INSCRIPTIONS AND TRIPLE-MASTED BOATS EMBEDDED IN THE ICE.' (WILLIAMS)
