THE WHOLE IS FRAMED AND GLAZED TWO LAUREL WREATHS AT THE BASE, ONE ENCIRCLING THE INITIALS GR AND THE OTHER ENCIRCLING A SHIELD WITH THE CROSS OF ST GEORGE ON IT. TWO SWORDS WITH A DOVE A PEACE FLANK THE CLITHEROE TOWN CREST
