- Description
- A plain marble cross mounted on the wall of the church porch, supported by three slender columns which arise out of a two-section base, the upper one being shouldered, and the lower one battered. The inscriptions are incised, and filled with a grey material. It replaces a free-standing marble cross which stood on a four-step base on a two-step sandstone foundation. This was vandalised beyond repair in a series of attacks from 1976, and the present memorial created, and dedicated in 1996.
