- History
- 2000: THE PARISH COUNCIL HAS SUGGESTED THAT THE PHOTOGRAPH COLLECTION BE BROKEN UP AND THE FRAME DISCARDED 1999: CAFE WAS REDECORATED AND IT WAS FELT THAT IT NO LONGER FITTED IN THE ROOM. CONSEQUENTLY, IT WAS MOVED INTO THE UPSTAIRS LIBRARY 1976: THE NEWLY APPOINTED STEWARD OF THE INSTITUTE FOUND THE PANELS IN A SKIP. HE RESTORED THE FRAME AND HUNG IT IN THE CAFE. HE SPENT THE NEXT TWO YEARS TRYING TO IDENTIFY ALL THE MEN COMMEMORATED. THOSE WHO HE WASN'T ABLE TO NAME COULD HAVE COME FROM THE LOCAL NATIONAL CHILDREN'S ORPHANAGE AS THE VILLAGER'S COULD REMEMBER THEIR FACES BUT NOT THEIR NAMES
