- Description
- There are 2 parts to this memorial- (1) The 2 light stained glass window which has 2 brass plaques below it (the lower dedicatory plaque is on a wooden backboard). The window is a general memorial with no names on. The names are on a separate memorial- the wooden panelling in the chancel- WMA 67385. (2) The nearby combined WW1 and WW2 Roll of Honour which is calligraphy on paper in a glazed wooden frame. The date of this is unknown. The original WW2 memorial (installed in 1952), now lost, was a shrine formed by removal of 5 pews below WW1 memorial, enclose that space with curtains, place carpet on floor and beneath the WW1 window a Book of Remembrance in a glass topped oak case .
