History
1999: THE FOUR POSTS AROUND THE MEORIAL USED TO HAVE NAMES ON THEM BUT WHEN THE POSTS STARTED TO DETERIORATE, THE NAMES WERE ADDED TO THE BASE AND THE OTHER LETTERING WAS RENEWED 29.01.2023 The original pillars had eroded over the years and were illegible, these were replaced in 2020 with new pillars. The old pillars were relocated near to the memorial. At the same time the paving around the memorial was refurbished and stone traffic protection pillars were installed
