Description
A stone of remembrance dedicated to those of both World Wars resting on a flat bricked plinth on a slightly raised level directly next to the river front. The dedication is carved in plate gothic caps.

1963: Cross rechalked 1979: base reinforced and concrete skirt added. Letters recut. Plinth repointed. Chains removed from bollards. Cleaned. 1982: Seat and flower trough added. 1989: Cross rechalked. Pillar cleaned and silicone treated. 2000: memorial refurbished. Annually cleaned
