ORNATE ALABASTER WALL-MOUNTED TABLET. BLACK LETTERING WITH NAMES IN FOUR COLUMNS. PITCHED AT TOP CENTRE. CARVED BORDERS AT TOP AND BASE. BASE BORDER IS CARVED WITH LEAVES AND BERRIES (?). TOP BORDER IS CARVED AT TOP CENTRE WITH LAUREL WREATH, SHIELD AND CROSS.

THE BAPTISTRY AND TABLET WERE ERECTED TO THE GLORY OF AND IN/ EVER GRATEFUL REMEMBRANCE OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH AND CONGREGATION/ WHO SACRIFICED THEIR LIVES FOR KING AND COUNTRY IN THE/ GREAT WAR OF 1914-1918/ (NAMES)/ "BE THOU FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH AND I WILL GIVE THEE A CROWN OF LIFE"
