- Description
- Three light window. They begin by showing the call to war and end by showing Christ in glory when there shall be no more war. In between are illustrations depicting weaponry and scenes form the war, listed below. Panels of glass depict: Window 1: The call to war; shell factory; a howitzer; liquid fire; a zeppelin; a tank; a German aeroplane (a spad); a field telegraph; a captured dug out. Window 2: Motor field kitchen; trans-Sinai pipeline; YMCA hut; a German submarine mine layer; a British submarine; sinking of the Lusitania; red cross hospital; military chaplain; statue of liberty. Window 3: Christ the good shepherd; ploughing; rural activities e.g. farming; parable of the sower; sheep, cattle and camels feeding; watering sheep; harvesting; threshing by oxen; Christ in Majesty.
