Description
Cross on large square block standing on a raised stone plinth, overall height 7m. and approx. 2m square. Four stone pillars support a stone tiled pitched roof which covers the monument. A cobbled path (now cemented over) originally encircled the monument. The approach is by five stone steps leading up from the roadside. The dedication is on a plaque 3 feet high x 3 feet wide at the front. The lettering is incised using Roman capitals. The names of those who served are on the sides and back.
