- Oak Plaque. At centre is a panel containing a popular painting called “Remembrance” with a female figure representing grief. It is a reproduction of a popular picture by the Fine Arts Publishing Co. Ltd. The names are inscribed on brass plates.

- Alnwick & County Gazette 4/9/1920 reports 1. The memorial was unveiled in the Town Hall, with the intention of placing it in the School. 2. A copy of this picture can be seen in Boulmer War Memorial Institute and Felton Church. There is also one in Bedale Church in Wensleydale
