- Description
- A granite Celtic cross on a tapering shaft on a rough-hewn plinth, which stands on sandstone slabs within a gravelled area surrounded by sandstone kerbs with pyramid topped sandstone posts at the corners, which bear the dates of the two World Wars carved on their faces. The cross bears Celtic designs, and the names of the fallen are inscribed in lead on its front face. The names of those who died in later conflicts were added post-WW2. The dedication is inscribed in lead on the polished font face of the plinth. The lettering appears to have been refreshed and blacked in the recent past.
