Description
Bronze relief plaque mounted on a semi-circular stone entablature with black marble columns. Inscription at the top of the stone and base of the plaque. Portrait of Forbes in relief in the centre of the plaque. Badge of the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry at the top of the entablature and badge of the Architectural Association is at the base. At left is his Battlefield Cross WMR 33622

D.C.L.I./ SON OF STANHOPE & ELIZABETH FORBES OF HIGHER FAUGHAN/ PAUL. BORN AT TREWARVENETH PAUL 26th MAY 1893. EDUCATED / AT BEDALES SCHOOL. STUDt OF THE ARCHITECTl. ASSocn 1911-1914/ KILLED LEADING HIS PLATOON IN THE CHARGE AT GUILLEMONT / ON THE SOMME BATTLEFIELD IN FRANCE 3rd SEPTr 1916.
