- A tall wooden board with convex pediment, mounted onto the outside wall of the hall and a gable roof has been placed over it. Two shelves placed below the board. Hand-painted gold lettering inscription. Carved fluting down both sides. Wreath carved in each corner

- Northern Echo 5 March 1921 reports the opening of the hall with the memorial board
- Berwick Advertiser 4 March1921- reports the unveiling with a very detailed description of the interior of the hall, and that initially the board is over the stage of the hall, but will later be moved into the porch so that anyone entering the hall will see it.
