Description
Four sided obelisk with bevelled corners, ornamental garlands carved near the top. Pinnacle of monument is made from a smaller piece of granite, set on the flat top of the wider obelisk. A bronze roundel above the inscription, etched in black, bears the seal of the local council. Names in black on other three sides of obelisk.

Memorial was moved in 1948 and re-dedicated with WW2 plaques. Surrounding area recently (2005) refurbished with new benches, railing, etc.
