- Description
- Illuminated parchment framed in oak. The Roll of Honour includes the Scottish Thistle and English Rose, also the Allied flags. At the top of the Roll of Honour is the City crest; at the foot is a shield bearing a representation of the lion rampant. (The memorial was originally flanked by photographs of the 4 casualties, but this is no longer the case).

- Lancashire Evening Post Saturday 10/4/1920 reported on page 3: 'CARLISLE POLICE ROLL OF HONOUR. Last night, at the City Police Office, Carlisle, Alderman F. P. Dixon, Chairman of the Carlisle Watch Committee, unveiled a Roll of Honour containing the names of members of the Force who served in H.M.
