Description
This is a War Memorial Institute built as a community hall in 1919 to commemorate the local men who did not return from WW1. WAR MEMORIAL INSTITUTE CONTAINING BILLIARD ROOM, READING ROOM AND KITCHEN. FOUR TENNIS COURTS ARE OUTSIDE. ENGRAVED FOUNDATION STONE BENEATH THE WINDOW. VARNISHED BOARD HANGS INSIDE WITH A SEPARATE FRAMED ROLL OF HONOUR. TWO TABLETS WITH THE NAMES OF CASUALTIES FOR WW1 AND WW2 MOUNTED INSIDE.

2012: Two replacement stone tablets added. One with the names of the 17 WW1 casualties and one with the names of the 24 WW2 casualties. The original WW1 foundation stone which bore the names had become very weathered.
