2017: Trees are at risk of felling as part of Sheffield's Streets Ahead project. 2006: Pavement of Western Road is suffering damage due to tree roots, making the pavement increasingly difficult to use. Matter raised at meeting with council officials. 2005: Concern over illegal fly posting on trees. 1996: General concern about the unsafe condition of all the city's trees. Highlighted in (Sheffield) Star 10 January 1996. Article specifically refers to Western Rd. School previously called Western Road Council School.
