6 o'clock face: TO THE GLORY OF GOD IN HONOURED MEMORY OF THE UNDERMENTIONED WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919. 3 o'clock face: TO THE GLORY OF GOD IN MEMORY OF THE MEN WHO FELL IN THE WAR 1939-1945. 9 o'clock face: "THEY SHALL GROW NOT OLD/ AS WE THAT ARE LEFT GROW OLD./ AGE SHALL NOT WEARY THEM/ NOR THE YEARS CONDEMN/ AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN/ AND IN THE MORNING/ WE WILL REMEMBER THEM."
