- RECTANGULAR BEVELLED BRASS PLAQUE WITH SLIGHTLY ENLARGED CORNERS FIXED FLAT TO THE WALL, THE WHOLE BORDERED BY A THIN INCISED LINE FILLED IN RED ENAMEL. THE INSCRIPTION IS IN BLACK ROMAN CAPITAL INCISED LETTERING EXCEPT THE WORD SOMERTONIANS AND THE DATES IN THE HEADING ARE IN RED. A LATIN CROSS IN RED ENAMEL IS AT TOP CENTRE ABOVE THE LETTERING.
