Description
Double-headed stone cross set on stone plinth which bears inscription. Plinth surmounts two-stepped stone base. Head of cross has extra stone protruding at right-angle so cross itself can be seen by viewer at any position around memorial. Tablet with dedicatory inscription on plinth and another on base.

(East) TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN BROAD/ AND GRATEFUL MEMORY OF ALL THE MEN/ OF THE EMPIRE AND ESPECIALLY THOSE/ FROM THIS PARISH WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES/ FOR THEIR COUNTRY/ IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 - 1919/ THEY SOUGHT THE GLORY OF THEIR/ COUNTRY, THEY SEE THE GLORY OF GOD/ REDICATED TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN MEMORY OF THOSE WHOSE/ NAMES ARE ENGRAVED ON THIS STEP/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE/ SECOND WORLD WAR/ 1939 - 1945/ THEY DIED THAT WE MIGHT LIVE First World War names are on the other faces and the Second World War names are around the base.

September, 2016: awarded a Grade II listed status for its "special architectural or historic interest". July, 2002: Following vandalism, the memorial was repaired. 1988: WW2 tablets vandalised. Removed and restored.
