Description
Square stone column with cornice surmounted originally by a stone statue of Victory. When this was damaged in 1964 it was replaced by a stone 'Toc H Lamp of Maintenance' set on a plinth and three-step base. Inscription on all four sides of the plinth and column. Lamp replaced by copy of the original statue of Victory in 2014.

Condition
History
1964: Original statue of Victory damaged in a freak car accident. This was replaced by a 'Toc H Lamp of Maintenance'. 2002: Additional name added. 2011: Name added for casualty in Afghanistan. 2014: Early in 2014 a public appeal was started to have the lamp replaced as part of the First World War centenary and a statue of Victory returned. The statue is a close copy and was made by Messrs J Rotherham and was positioned on 9 July 2014 for the rededication ceremony on 20 July of that year.
