Inscription

CONSECRATED TO THE MEMORY OF VISCOUNT LORD NELSON. BY THE ZEALOUS ATTACHMENT OF ALL THOSE WHO FOUGHT AT TRAFALGAR TO PERPETUATE HIS TRIUMPH AND THEIR REGRET 1805. FOUNDATION STONE LAID JULY 1807
