Description
War memorial hospital with two dedicatory plaques located in the entrance doorway. At an unknown date the word 'FORMERLY' was added above the words 'WAR MEMORIAL HOSPITAL' in black with grey shadowing, together with a tablet each side of the entrance porch incised with gold lettering. Inside the building is a tablet incised with black lettering commemorating the opening as the 'Horncastle War Memorial Centre'

Opening ceremony tablet: The Horncastle/ War Memorial Centre/ opened by/ Lt. Col & Mrs J. Dymoke/ on the 3rd of June/ 2002 Left hand porch entrance tablet: They shall grow/ not old as we/ that are left grow/ old. Age shall not/ weary them/ nor the years/ condemn./ At the going down/ of the sun and in/ the morning we will/ remember them. Right hand porch entrance tablet: When you go/ home and tell them of/ us, and say - / "For your tomorrow/ we gave our/ today."
