- Description
- Ornately carved oak screen, the upper section of which has a painted green background with gilded decoration and lettering. The screen comprises ten panels, the middle four of which are both hinged to form a doorway. (The inscription on the screen does not distinguish between those who died and those who survived. Sixteen of those it names as having enlisted are among the 20 WW1 casualties whose deaths are commemorated on the Elton Parish Memorial in the churchyard - see WMR 202).
