Description
Illuminated Roll of Honour within an oak triptych. Above and beneath the central panel of the triptych are carved oak leaves and acorns. The upper section incorporates the Norwich Coat of Arms: Gules, a castle triple-towered and domed argent; in base a lion passant guardant Or. At the foot of the lower section crest is a carved laurel wreath, within which is the Colman coat of arms). The outer doors, when closed, have the name of the memorial above an incised gilt cross with the dates 1914 and 1918. Within the triptych, the illuminated Roll of Honour has four columns of names, and the dedicatory inscription.

12/1/2021: Eastern Daily Press announced that Norwich City Council had bought Carrow House from Norfolk County Council. 2020: Building formerly known as Colman's Factory closed. 3/1/2018: The War Memorials Trust received 'an anonymous concern stating the building this memorial is located in could be at risk of closure'.// 1995: Colmans became part of Unilever. At some point thereafter, the memorial was moved to Carrow House (former home of the Colman family).// 9/6/1922: Memorial unveiled and dedicated, after which it was installed in the Carrow Works' Club House.
