- Description
- A square sandstone monument comprising a cross on a plinth, pedestal and three stepped ashlar base. The cross has squared perforated brackets between the limbs and the shaft tapers from the canted and decorated plinth which has a shield containing a crown and cross in relief on the 6 o'clock face. The canted die, or pedestal, has hollowed upper arrises and contains the inscription on the 6 o'clock face. The top step is much higher than the lower two and contains the names in three columns on each face. The inscription and names are in upright capital Roman cavo-rilievo lettering.
