C 1980: THE PLASTIC CENTRE WAS MADE BY DOUGLAS HARRIS, A CHURCHWARDEN AND EX-ROYAL NAVY. HE MADE IT TO REPLACE A WOODEN PANEL THAT HAD FADED AND WARPED. THIS IN TURN HAD REPLACED A METAL PLAQUE
