- Description
- Large dark oak memorial surmounted by the ship's crest, wreathed. It is mounted on a pillar facing the South transept and a light oak glazed cabinet has been mounted below it to carry information and memorabilia associated with one of those who died - J T Cornwell VC (WMR 105365). The ship's name is painted in gold on a plaque above the carved dedication, which is flanked by carved wreaths. The names of those who died are painted in gold in two columns below. There is a photograph of the ship in a glazed frame under the second column of names.
