Description
Hooded wooden calvary cross on a hexagonal stone plinth and base. The figure of Christ is sculpted from teak, and is screwed into an oak Latin cross. The base of the cross is reinforced with copper. Overhead is a separate piece of wood carved with the inscription I.N.R.I. The wooden canopy has a shaped gable to the front and stands on a hexagonal plinth and stepped base. The plinth is made of Yorkshire Stone with a chamfered upper edge. It bears the commemorative inscription. The upper section of the base, of Portland Stone, bears the names of the WWI fallen, carved into the stone. The lower section of the base, also of Portland Stone, is plain. The cross in within the churchyard.
