ST MICHAELS RC SCHOOL CLOSED IN 1962 AND THE MEMORIAL HAS NOT BEEN SEEN SINCE. IN FACT, ACCORDING TO FIELD WORK REPORT (1999) "PUPILS FROM THE '30S AND '40S REMEMBER THE MEMORIAL CLEARLY BUT PUPILS THERE IN 1960 CANNOT, SO IT MAY HAVE ALREADY BEEN MOVED OR HAVE BEEN IN DISREPAIR."
